King Arthur Family Tree: King Arthur was a historical as well as mythological British leader who defended Britain against Saxon invaders in the 5th century AD.  King Arthur was born in the United Kingdom in 5th century. You can see the above chart where the sources are mentioned and named are different from each other. Only the father of King Arthur had no conflicts in these records.

2.  Uther Pendragon  [Father of King Arthur]


Uther Pendragon was the father of King Arthur. Uther made love to Igrain in the absence of  Duke Gorlois of Cornwall. Cornwall was the husband of Igraine. Later, Cornwall got killed in a war. Uther  Pendragon married to Igraine. In this way, Uther was the second husband of Igraine. Igraine had already conceived when Cornwall was alive. With the help of a witch named Marlin. According to Mabinogion & other Welsh sources, Igraine was the mother of King Arthur. She was the daughter of Anlawdd Wledig and Uthr Bendragon(Father). Igraine also had a daughter named Gwyar. Gwyaer was the mother of Gwalchmai.

If we talk about the Geoffrey of Monmouth, Igrain had a daughter named Anna. Anna was married to King Lot of Orkney. According to the work of Geoffrey (Vita Merlini, c. 1151), Morgan ley fay was also Arthur's sister.  Morgan le Fay married to King Urien of Gorre.

4. Guinevere [Wives of King Arthur]


There is no much conflict about the wife of King Arthur. Guinevere or Gwenhwyvar is considered the official wife of King Arthur by many historical pieces of evidence. Of course, Arthur was a king so he must have more than one wife, which can be seen In the Welsh myth, he stated that there were three queens of King Arthur. fortunately, All three queens were named Gwenhwyvar.

5. Children of King Arthur


In Culhwch and Olwen (A historical source) Arthur was the father of Gwydre, Gwenhwyvar (Mother). At the end of the Dream of Rhonabwy (historical source), Arthur had a different son named Llacheu. Information provided by Welsh romance "Gereint and Enid", the story mentioned that Arthur also was the father of Amhar. 

Different sources provide different information about the children of King Arthur. According to Perlesvaus, lohat was the son of Arthur but not by his wife Guinevere, but more frequently by a woman named Lisanor. Lohat and Lohot and borro was the same person with just different name in different sources.

Many people claim that they are living descendants of King Arthur. Tudors and the British royal family are some of them. There is a long ongoing debate on this topic, but no one can confirm who is the living descendant of King Arthur.

King Arthur is considered a mythological figure due to the presence of witch Marlin. Also, King Arthur Family Tree is full of confusions about real cousins, mother, and children. Besides all of them, there are many pieces of evidence that claims that King Arthur is not mythological. Saxon invaders are also considered as real by historians and Glastonbury Abbey is the place where the Tomb of King Arthur is located.
