  • Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata (3 March 1839 – 19 May 1904): In the Family tree of Tata Jamshedji is known as one of the fathers of Indian industry

    • Dorabji Tata was the elder son of Jamshedji Tata, an Indian industrialist, and philanthropist. In tata family tree his wife, Meherbai Tata, was the paternal aunt of nuclear scientist Homi J. Bhabha.

    • Ratanji Tata was the younger son of Jamshedji Tata, a philanthropist person, and pioneer of poverty studies. After Ratanji Tata's death, his wife, Navajbai Tata, adopted an orphan child, Naval, who was the grand-nephew of her mother-in-law.

He was also a distant agnatic cousin of Jamshedji Tata, who belonged to the broader Tata family. He married Suzanne Brière, a French Catholic woman, and became the father of five children.

    • J. R. D. Tata ( 1904 – 1993): He was Son of Ratanji Tata by his wife Suzanne. The longtime chairman of Tata group and founder of Tata Airlines (later known as Air India).
