Benjamin Franklin Family Tree: Benjamin Franklin (January 17, 1706) was an American author, printer, political theorist, politician, scientist, inventor, humorist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. Josiah Franklin was the ninth child of blacksmith Thomas Franklin and his first wife, Jane White. Josiah Franklin immigrated to the American colonies in 1682. 6. Wife [Deborah Read]


Benjamin franklin Married once in his lifetime. It was a girl named Deborah Read(1708-1774). Deborah Reah and Benjamin Frankin knew each other from the age of 15. Benjamin proposed Deborah for marriage, But mother of Deborah declined the proposal. Deborah was then married to a man named John Rodgers. This marriage lasted only a few months. When Benjamin Franklin met Deborah Again, they did common-law marriage (Marriage by state law) and lived as husband and wife.
