Countess Charlotte of Dohna-Schlodien was the Great Great Great Grandmother of Prince Philip. Frederick Charles Louis and his wife Schlodien Born Frederick William Paul Leopold(Great Great Grandfather).

Williams Paul Leopold Married Princess Louise Caroline of Hesse-Kassel and became parents of Christian IX of Denmark (Great Grandfather). The House of Glücksburg is the ancestral house of Prince Philip where he still lives.

Grandfather of Prince Philip was George I of Greece. He was the fourth son of Christain IX of Denmark. He was originally and Danish Prince.  Two of his sisters, Alexandra and Dagmar, married into the British and Russian royal families. King Edward VII and Tsar Alexander III were his brothers-in-law and King George V and Tsar Nicholas II were George I of Greece's nephews.

George I of Greece married Grand Duchess Olga Constantinovna of Russia and born a baby Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark. Later this child became the father of Prince Philip.

5. Father


Princ Andrew of Greece and Denmark was the father of Prince Philip. He was was the seventh child and fourth son of King George I of Greece.

George I of Greece was assassinated and Andrew's elder brother, Constantine, became king of Greece and Denmark.

After World War Ist, Andrew Including his family was abducted and exiled by his brother due to some conflicts. On their return after a few years, Andrew served in the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922), but the war went badly for Greece, and Andrew was blamed for this loss. He was exiled for the second time and spent the rest of his life in France.

By 1930, Prince Andrew(Father of Prince Philip) separated from his wife, Princess Alice of Battenberg. His only son, Prince Philip, served in the British navy during World War II, while all four of his daughters were married to Germans.

Princess Alice of Battenberg (1885) was the mother of Prince Philip and mother-in-law of Queen Elizabeth II. Princess Alice of Battenberg was born to Windsor Castle(Father) and  Mediterranean (A Hessian princess).

She was born deaf. After the marriage with  Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark, she adopted the new name Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark. But the separation from his husband in 1930, she spent most of her remaining years to charity work in Greece.

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor or Elizabeth II is the wife of Prince Philip. Presently she is the queen of the United Kingdom. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, is the father in law and mother in law of Prince Philip. Both are parents of Elizabeth II.

Prince Philip and Elizabeth II met each other when Elizabeth was only 13. Later in 1947, Prince Philip Married her. Prince Philip became the father of 4 children.
